![]() Her hearing was much better than what was typical of a human being as well. She didn't see the person who was approaching, but she could definitely hear them. She would have been just as scared as they were if she were in their shoes. Quiet didn't intend to hurt anyone nor would she run away, but if it put the soldiers' minds at ease, she would do as they said. That was why she had to stay in this cell for as long as she was on the offshore plant that was Mother Base. But she had learned to live with them and she could accept how it would be so hard for other, NORMAL people to understand it. Frankly, Quiet wished she had never been given them in the first place. She simply used them as part of her mission. However, these numerous abilities, which seemed to come straight out of an American comic book, did not mean a thing to her. She was able to move at a speed rivaling Olympic athletes, lift weights far greater than what her slender frame would normally be able to handle, and she could even turn herself temporarily invisible. A power that rendered her incapable of speech, lest she bring about death to all those around her. After that, she had been given the gift of a second chance at life, but she also had been infested with a great power that was both mighty and deadly. On the inside, she was far removed from any such mortal existence. To describe herself as one would have been disingenuous. After all, though she may have still resembled an ordinary human on the outside, she could not think of herself as anything close to a human anymore. She held no animosity towards the men and women of the Diamond Dogs for this. Aside from the man called 'Snake', she did not have many other visitors to speak of. This loneliness was completely acceptable to her. Deep within her meditation, she felt nothing, heard nothing, and worried for nothing. The topless woman sat in the center of her cell with her legs crossed and eyes closed. The sun's brilliant rays shone down through the open roof above, providing her with all of the energy she needed.
